Sibir Mining OJSC increases its reserves at Chukotka
Sibir Mining OJSC performed exploration and evaluation works within Koralveem ore node of the Stadukhino prospective area in 2007. Pologaya ore zone was discovered at Tsentralnaya field of Stadukhino. It includes a number of parallel ore bodies within the borders of the tectonic zone (1,5 km long and 1 km wide).

GDK Sibir to up exploration spending in Chukotka
Sibir Mining plans to increase exploration spending by 40% on the year to 700 million rubles in 2008 on its projects located in Chukotka autonomous District – Stadukhino ore and placer region and Kanchalano-Amguemskaya area.

OJSC Sibir Mining announces preliminary results of exploration 2007.
According to preliminary analysis of exploration on Vesyoly mine within mine allotments additional C2 reserves with about 9,5 tones of gold were discovered. Geologists expect to discover 10-12 tones of gold P1+P2 resources at off-end deposits of the mine. There are additional C2 reserves and P1 resources on deep horizons with about 8 tones of gold.

Polymetal-AngloGold JV offers to buy 25%-50% of Sibir Mining
The Taiga Gold joint venture between Russia's Polymetal (RTS: POME) and AngloGold Ashanti has offered to buy 25%-50% of the shares in the Sibir Mining Company (Sibir GDK), a precious metals market source told Interfax.
