Kanchalano-Amguemskaya area
The area is located in Anadyr Region of Chukotka Autonomous district and covers 831 sq km , The district is connected with Egwekinot sea-port and Komsomolsky village. Anadyr Region has been explored since 1957 with a range of prospecting works. In particular “Chukotka” mining company has explored the Valynistoe gold deposit since 1990. The first hard-rock gold was mined in 2002.
Kanchalano-Amguemskaya area is the most explored part of Valynisty ore region, it consists of Terkeneysky, Nychchegvamsky and Valynistoe ore clusters. Metallogenic positions and geological structures of gold clusters within the area are identical .
Valunistoe gold deposit with 12 tones of C2 gold reserves is located within Valynistoe ore cluster. Ore fields Gornoe, Shakh, Zhilnoe verge to Valynistoe structures, their regional and ore guides are identical to Valunistoe. Gornoe and Zhilnoe ore fields are much more perspective than Valynistoe according to secondary dispersion halo of gold and silver.
The average gold grade in Valunistoe is 25 g/t, average silver grade ranges from 85 to 558 g/t. Terkeney prospect’s average gold grade 5,3 g/t, average silver grade ranges from 1545 g/t to 3654 g/t.
P2 resources of Kanchalano-Amguemskaya area are about 100 tones of gold and over 4 thousands tones of silver. The resources are confirmed by Russian Central Research Institute of precious metals (CNIGRI). Exploration parameters and ore guides of gold mineralization within ore clusters allow to expect large and medium deposits as a result of exploration.
