Pokrovskoye ore field

Pokrovskoye area is located in Republic Altay near Pokrovsky (Rusinovsky) copper mine with an area of 0,97 sq km. The gold and silver ore bodies were discovered in the ore field in 1971-1973 by Karpinskaya geological prospecting group.

Rock type of ores consists of bornite, chalco, rarer – pyrites, fahlite, placer gold (free gold and sulfide gold ore). Core test results of garnet-quartz-epidot metasomatites discovered gold grade of 9,2g/t, silver grade 57,2 g/t.

Geologic-mining type of mineralization is gold-scarn P1+P2 resources of Pokrovskoye area are estimated at 55 tones, the average grade of gold is about 4,7 g/t.
